RA Summer Exhibition

Michael Sandle RA - Iraq Triptych, Centre Panel (2007)Forget those losers at the Venice Biennale. The Royal Academy of Arts' Summer Exhibition 2007 opened to the public today. This is the world's largest contemporary art exhibition, with over 1,000 works of art on display. It's now in its 239th year! BBC London News has been smitten by Michael Sandle's Iraq Triptych, which shows Tony and Cherie Blair in the nuddy on the steps of No 10. Executed in charcoal and chalk, it wins the Hugh Casson prize for drawing, an old boys' network award, judging by its poor quality.

Don't stop coming. Just stop groaning. I'll try to find some better art to post. What d'you think of the wax-on-flatcar job? I'll say it for you: Groan!

Come on, it's the thought that counts.

Surely you've got to agree with the artist there?
