Teodoru Badiu

Teodoru Badiu - A New BreedHere's another painting from El Merchant's email of its Top Ten featured artists: Teodoru Badiu's A New Breed, which is about as weird as you could wish for. The title link takes you to Teodoru Badiu's page at El Merchant. Note: I've updated the Javier Bravo post (CLICK) so that its title link takes you to Bravo's page, instead of El Merchant's home page. If any artist joins El Merchant as a result of this blog, please let me know how you get on.

It reminds me of mark ryden and the kind of work in juxtapoz magazine. Technically very well done, and a new kind of surrealism.

Definitely a touch of the Dali's about this one, but also a sort of kiddie version of the Adam and Eve Fable, like watered down Dali with dolls.

yea! I amnot sure what to think of it, besides being technically really really good. Somehow I am just not feeling a connection.

Unemotional, like an abstract. No human feeling, just pointless dolls.

Some abstracts are so rich in colours and movement that they elicit something, but yes, just dolls doing pointless weird things, yes!

Glad we sorted that out.
