World Body Art Champs
Carolyn Roper has kindly sent me photos of her and Carly Utting's two winning entries in the 10th World Bodypainting Festival® 2007. I've combined them into a single graphic. The themes this year were "Chaos vs Control" and "In the year 2525". At the end of Day 1, Carolyn and Carly led the field with their Earth Mother replenishing the Earth in 2525, using bright greens and yellows to represent spring and showing beautiful examples of fauna, including a human foetus. Interestingly, they chose to leave the model's pretty face bare, rather than try to improve on Nature. Brave decision, and the right one. In stark contrast, up strides Kali, the Indian Goddess of chaos and destruction, painted from head to toe with sombre colours overlaid with tightly controlled patterns and crowned with a golden temple. Magnificent. Congratulations to Carolyn and Carly, World Body Painting Champions 2007 (Brush/Sponge Category). For more photos, click the title link to visit Carolyn's website: Get Made Up!

That's great work. Actually I'm hoping to email interview them about their achievements for www.mookychick.co.uk ... do you have email contacts for either Carly or Carolyn? If so, please contact me at mookychick @ yahoo.co.uk
Many thanks!
