FBI Offers $200,000

Kees van Dongen - Alicia Alanova (1933)The FBI is offering a $200,000 reward for the recovery of 12 valuable paintings stolen on 23 August from the home of an unidentified elderly couple in the San Fernando valley, California. Los Angeles police are hoping the reward and attendant publicity will at least make it difficult for the thieves to sell the stolen works. Kees van Dongen's Alicia Alanova (1933) shown here is the most valuable of the paintings at an estimated £2.27m ($4m).
