Texas Beyond History

While browsing for something else, I chanced upon this excellent painting by Nola Davis of a prehistoric hunter using a rock to smash open the bone of a freshly butchered mammoth. It's on the website Texas Beyond History, University of Texas, Austin. Their work not only qualifies as art worthy of the name, but also serves the useful purpose of bringing archaeological findings vividly to life.
