NASA Art
We don't think of NASA as a patron of the arts, but over its 50 years of trying to outdo the original sputnik it has commissioned top artists to visualize its leaps into space, so that we can "see" what is being attempted before the event. What better way to celebrate NASA's 50th anniversary in October than to release a book of historic space art: NASA/ART - 50 Years of Exploration by James D. Dean and Bertram Ulrich? But what a shame it chose this boring cover! Oh, come on NASA, is that the best you could do? Click the title link for NASA Art on Amazon.com (release date 1 October). Amazon.co.uk hasn't heard of it. Yet.
