Ancient Crossroads 2

Last December I posted a preview of Afghanistan: Crossroads of the Ancient World (CLICK). It opens tomorrow at the British Museum in London. Exhibition curator St John Simpson gave BBC News a brief tour of treasures saved from Taliban vandals, including this Gold Crown from Tillya Tepe (1st century AD). The video is well worth seeing, if only to hear a traditional old-style curator who knows what he's talking about (title link). It is so refreshing in comparison with clueless girlie enthusiasts blathering on about how "amazing" tripe is. There are some 200 treasures on display.
