Mel Ramos

Purely in the interest of gender equality on International Women's Day, I feel I must show you this statue by US pop artist Mel Ramos based on Hav a Havana IV (2002). Two more of his sculptures, based on his girlie paintings, are in the background. The retrospective took place in Germany last year (CLICK). A statuette of his Five Flavor Frieda recently popped up in The Armory Show Piers 92 & 94 in New York.
