Black Cat Tapestry

Why on earth would anyone in their right mind weave Tracey Emin's Black Cat tripe into a tapestry? Cheap publicity is my guess. BBC News falls about in delight whenever it hears "Turner prize-nominee" Emin's name (title link). The West Dean Tapestry Studio did the biz and won itself some publicity. Its handiwork is on display at the Saatchi Gallery in London, part of the Craft Council's Collect international art fair for contemporary objects. The fair opened today and limps along until 9 May. Don't bother is my advice. If this junk is the best the fair offers, it's a waste of time.
