Plague in RA

While browsing the BBC's preview of this year's Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, which opens on 7 June, I spotted a familiar face. Ignore the pesky woman striding past it with a catalogue pressed to her bosom and compare it with the face on the right. This is Jenny Saville's painting used as the cover for the Manic Street Preachers' album Journal For Plague Lovers (2009). Its "inappropriate" artwork caused a major rumpus (CLICK). I'm glad to see that Jenny's much larger version has been accepted for the exhibition (title link).
