Scratch Card Art

This is an example of Michal Zaborowski’s selection of recent interactive paintings in his exhibition Scratch Cards, which opens tomorrow at the Unit24 gallery, 24 Great Guildford Street, London, SE1 0FD (title link). The idea comes from those lottery coupons coated with a layer of paint or foil you need to scratch off to find out whether you've won or not. Michal has done the same with his paintings. The visitor scratches off a layer of paint to expose the painting underneath. I can't see it catching on, but admission is free. So, if you feel like wasting a few hours, pop along and get scratching.
