London's Burning
A third night of riots, arson and looting has hit London. The above photo shows Croydon, described as "an absolute war zone". The criminals have also run amok in Hackney, Lewisham, Clapham and Peckham. In my home town Ilford, which is in the Greater London overlap into Essex, Cineworld and Primark are on fire. Cineworld mainly shows Bollywood films, so that's no loss to me, but it will look messy and Ilford Central Library is next door. If that is destroyed, it will be a major loss to the community. The violence has spread to Birmingham. This is multiculturalism, folks. It didn't work in Paris either. Unwanted immigrants have been flooding into the UK for decades, hoping to strike it rich. Some succeed. Most don't. They end up living in ghettos on social security, their kids growing up to form tribal gangs and terrorise their neighbours. Sooner or later they go berserk. The only good thing about it all is that it's cut short the holidays of Theresa May, Bouncy Boris and David Cameron. Why should they enjoy the luxury of holidays that most of us can't afford?

Watching the talking head Piers Morgan on CNN in America, showing the terrible fires in Britain...Please don't burn the blessed and beautiful London down...I know this is a passing sorrow...
Stick to the art commentary mate. These are bored, criminal kids - british kids.
Looking on the bright side, so far the thugs have mainly been burning and looting their own ghettos. Oxford Circus and a 5-generation family furniture store in Croydon are the only "heritage sites" (loosely speaking) that have been attacked.
Check out this YouTube video for what happened in my home town yesterday:

How can I ignore such brilliant photos? Better art than in Tate Modern. As for the "British" kids, listen to their accents. Paris was the warning we ignored. Now we're paying the price. "It can't happen here". Oh yeah?
Please god don't let them get to the museums...
So many treasures of art and history in Britain...
Or the art galleries! Hopefully most of them are too thick to know what a gallery or a museum is.
They seem to be mainly attacking stores with portable luxury goods, such as smart phones, computers, handbags and shoes. (Yes, the girls are in on it too.) The fires are what the US military describe as "collateral damage"
Absolutely! That furniture store in Croydon - in the same family for 5 generations - is the most historic building the thugs have torched so far. Mostly it's been more modern shops. They've also been targeting police cars. So, not much history lost so far. And the police have been massively reinforced in London. We had a relatively quiet night.
