Paris Heist Update

Back in May 2010 I reported on the theft of 5 paintings from the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (CLICK). All modern tripe - even Modigliani's Woman with Fan (1919) is one of his worst -, but the total value was about 500m euro thingies (£431m; $618m) at the time. French fuzz have collared three villains: the cat burglar, an accomplice and a fence, but have failed to recover the stolen paintings. One of the crooks claims to have panicked when the other two were arrested five months ago and destroyed the evidence. All five paintings ended up in a crushing lorry. That's his story and he's sticking to it (title link).
