T-Pylon Wins
The Royal Institute of British Architects' contest to find a new design to supersede our ugly old electricity pylons has been won by Danish engineering firm Bystrup with its elegant T-Pylon, designed by Rasmus Jessing. The winner gains £5,000 and the five runners-up £1,000 each. There is no guarantee the National Grid will use the winning design, but it must be favourite.
