Dickens £2 Coin

Here's the Royal Mint's new £2 coin, which celebrates the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens on 7 February 1812. On the left is the new design by Matthew Dent, a profile of Dickens made up of the titles of his works. On the right is the familiar portrait of the Queen by Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS. Round the edge is the famous catchphrase of Mr Micawber from David Copperfield: "Something will turn up". (Let's hope so!) Initially the new coins will be issued as brilliant uncirculated collectibles in presentation packs at a cost of £8.50 plus p&p (title link). They will enter circulation next year.
