Dickens and London
Still on the subject of Charles Dickens, the Museum of London opens Dickens and London on 9 December to celebrate the 200th anniversary of his birth (title link). This is the first major exhibition about Dickens for over 40 years. Sounds and projections will help to create the grime and poverty of Victorian London. Above is Francis Alexander's Portrait of Charles Dickens (1842) when a young man. The show runs until 10 June 2012. Ticket prices: adults £8, silver surfers £6 (save £1 on bookings).
