DNS Changer Virus

Today the FBI begins shutting down servers infected with the Domain Name System Changer virus, a nasty little bug that diverts your computer from legitimate websites to criminal websites run by an Estonian gang intent on stealing your money. The FBI collared the gang last November, but has kept the gang's network running benignly until today to avoid major disruption of the Internet. Over 4 million computers and routers were infected, netting the 6-man gang £9m ($14m). The infected computers have now been whittled down to the last 300,000. Hence the shutdown (CLICK). The DNS Resolution = Green graphic shown here is useless if you're colour blind. To find out if your computer is infected, CLICK. To read the FBI's Operation Ghost Click ... er ... CLICK.
