Mars Panorama

NASA has released a zoomable panorama of the surface of Mars, taken by its Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity and posted by BBC News (CLICK). The panorama is made up of 817 photos taken between December 2011 and May 2012. It's supposed to show an impact crater blasted billions of years ago - Endeavour Crater from an outcrop on the rim called Greeley Haven -, but the landscape is dominated by the rover's own solar arrays and deck. It makes Mars look like a scrapyard. Oh, what a messy species we are! Wall-E, where are you?
