A Day In The World

The organisers of A Day In The World claim it to be the largest global photography exhibition ever held, with 85,000 digital displays in 22 countries. The idea was to attract photos of everyday life from amateurs and professional photographers. Hehran Hamrahi from Iran took this shot of A Boy diving off a Water Buffalo (2012). It is a brilliant photo Coxsoft, but is it photoshopped? Something doesn't seem right about it.

I'm sure it's genuine. What makes it look wrong is our thought that the boy is diving over the water buffalo. In fact he's diving off its back. Boys in Asia herd and ride these beasts, which as their name suggests need to be bathed regularly. Click the link below to see a National Geographic photo of a boy doing a back flip off one of his herd.
