Dulwich Enfilade
The Dulwich Picture Gallery in London reopened to the public today following refurbishment and a rehang of its permanent collection (CLICK). Pride of place goes to this new acquisition Viewing at Dulwich Picture Gallery (c.1830), a watercolour by James Stephanoff showing the Gallery’s famous enfilade as it was in the 1830s. The Gallery lashed out £3,200 hammer price for this picture at Christie’s South Kensington auction on 3 September 2012, thanks to a tip-off from Christie's. CLICK for details and a larger graphic.
