Brontë Miniature

The Brontë Society has recently purchased this miniature portrait of Mrs Hudson (1839) by Charlotte Brontë, thanks to the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, the V&A Purchase Grant Fund and the Art Fund. Christie’s London negotiated the deal. The miniature is historically important, but hardly a great work of art. It will go on display at the Brontë Parsonage Museum in West Yorkshire (CLICK).
