The Brothers Grim

Jake Chapman - Portrait (2006)Jake and Dinos Chapman - known as The Brothers Grim - set up their stall at last month's Frieze Art Fair in London and knocked out 30-minute portraits at £4,500 a pop. BBC News estimates they made £288,000 over the four-day fair. And this is the sort of thing they churned out. Any psychiatrist worth his salt would diagnose serious mental problems on viewing this work, but the Brothers Grim are making a bomb and their work has been short-listed for the Turner Prize! So what does this say for the mental health of art buyers and for those who judge the Turner prize? And this portrait is a wedding gift for a bride-to-be! Don't do it!
