Chola Bronzes at RA

To celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Indian independence next year, the Royal Academy of Arts will be showing Chola: Sacred Bronzes of Southern India, from 11 November 2006 to 25 February 2007. About 40 bronze sculptures of Hindu gods created during the Chola dynasty of southern India between the 9th and 13th centuries will be displayed.
