Art Dealer Arrested
Officers of HM Revenue and Customs in London have arrested an unnamed British art dealer on suspicion of illegally exporting paintings worth £17m. The dealer allegedly provided false or incomplete details of the paintings in order to obtain export licences. One of the exported items is this Dutch masterpiece by Michiel van Musscher: Portrait Of An Artist (ca 1665-67) valued at £6.6m (detail shown).
