Female Beefeater Here

Yeoman Warder Moira Cameron (3/9/07)Back in January, I posted the news that a woman had been accepted as a Beefeater (CLICK). Having completed her training, she made history today by coming on duty at the Tower of London for the first time: Yeoman Warder Moira Cameron, who hails from Argyll. She obviously has the personality for the job and swiftly became a tourist attraction in her own right. Tourists queued to be photographed with her. The Beefeaters' uniform, which has both trousers and skirt, is amazingly unisex. What Coxsoft Art wants to know - and the BBC News interviewer dared not ask - is this: Do Moira's trousers zip up at the front or the back? Come to think of it, do Beefeaters' trousers have modern zips or are they encumbered with toggles and loops?
