Afghan Photos

Camera clickers are well catered for in London at present. Yesterday Tate Modern opened Burke + Norfolk: Photographs From The War In Afghanistan in its Level 2 Gallery. Afghan War photos by 19th-century British photographer John Burke are placed alongside modern Afghan war photos by Simon Norfolk. Yes, folks, killing people is a hobby for Afghans. If the homicidal twerps didn't have foreigners to kill, they'd revert to killing one another in tribal wars. Makes you wonder what the hell we're doing there. Shown is Simon Norfolk's Afghan Boy, Kabul 2010. The exhibition continues until 10 July, entry free (title link).
