Sir James Dyson
This is the latest commission to go on show at the National Portrait Gallery in London: Julian Opie's James, Inventor (2010). It depicts the inventor of the bagless vacuum cleaner Sir James Dyson. I must say I don't think this comic-book style is appropriate for serious portraiture, but Sir James likes it. You'll find it in Room 40, entry free (title link). Another free show is Augustus John: A Life in Portraits in Room 31, a case display of photos of the artist (CLICK).

Dyson's voice gives Americans an orgasm...His incredibly complex and expensive vacs are a mystery...it's...a vacuum cleaner...
Have you seen the price of vacuum cleaner bags? Has Which worked out whether Dyson's vacs pay for themselves in the long run?
