Mudman Safe!

The London riots have made it into ArtDaily (title link). Above is a photo of cars burning in Ealing last Tuesday 9 August. At least one art gallery had a lucky escape. Eva Lis had just completed work on Mudman, commissioned by WW Gallery for its Patio Projects, when the looters turned up looking for bricks to throw. They ignored Mudman. Not surprising. CLICK to see it. Ho, ho, ho.

Thank fate for the stupidity of barbarians...I've been more than a bit worried if flash-vandals should suddenly arrive at one of the marvelous museums/galleries...

Indeed. The barbarians are mainly trashing their own ghettos! How's that for stupidity?

One problem our museums face across Europe is that professional thieves are breaking in to steal rhino horns. A musuem in Essex was burgled recently just for its two rhino horns. They're worth more than gold in Chinese markets and it's easier raiding museums than shooting rhino in Africa.

Thanks for your concern.
