Tim Burton in Paris

Unfortunately the most interesting exhibition to open today is Tim Burton at La Cinematheque in Paris (title link). This is a major retrospective of his films, paintings, sculptures and drawings originally curated by the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York. Despite living in the UK, Tim decided to take his show to France next, because he's afraid of what the British critics will make of his fascination with monsters (CLICK). Treat them like Murdock's minions treat the Met. Police, Tim; ply them with enough champagne and they'll jump through hoops for you. Still, he's getting the star treatment in Paris. It's more a Tim Burton festival than an exhibition, with all of his movies showing and lots of animated short films not widely seen before. The graphic above combines La Cinematheque Advert and Burton in Paris with his wife the lovely Helena Bonham-Carter, who still hasn't found a decent hairdresser.
