Marc Quinn's Silvia

Here's a sculpture by Marc Quinn I hadn't come across before today: Silvia Petretti - Sustiva, Tenofivir, 3TC (HIV). Silvia Petretti is HIV positive and depends on the drug Sustiva Tenofivir 3TC to support her life. Quinn cast her body in polymer wax and drugs to create this unusual sculpture. It is currently on display in London's Wellcome Collection in the free exhibition An Idiosyncratic A to Z of the Human Condition, which runs until 12 October. This exhibit represents the letter C: C is for Chemical Life Support (CLICK).
