Duke's Auction
Duke’s Auctioneers in Dorchester, England, recently sold this puerile sketch by Picasso depicting a youthful Pablo and his girlfriend Odette on the job - Etreinte - for £81,260, a lot less than Picassos usually go for. Even at this low price it beat genuine artworks by two very collectable British artists. Alfred Munnings's The Irish Grey Mare fetched £65,725 and George Stubbs' A Grey Horse went for £53,775. As all three works were discovered in the same room, not a bad find.
